For you devotees, you’ll recall last month I wrote a piece about how Bend—with all it’s brewery glory—needed to start a cumliative winter beer fest.
Well, lady and gentlemen beer drinkers, our requests have been answered.
Now, I can’t take full credit to the idea. I suggested in the post that Central Oregon should have a winter beer release day. My idea was that all breweries would benefit from making a sort of pub crawl, releasing their spicy and malty seasonals on one day. Instead, the Central Oregon Brewer’s Guild is teaming up with local beer authorities and making a winter beer fest. I can’t say I’m complaining.
The fest is taking place at GoodLife Brewing on Century Drive on the westside. They’ve got a fancy bier garten that will host the event. From the promotional flyer, it seems all of the big players will be there.
And for that reason, I will be too. Cheers to winter beers!
